49ers part ways with veteran RB who was on season-ending IRKyle Madson, The San Francisco 49ers on Friday parted ways with veteran running back Patrick Taylor Jr. after reaching an injury settlement. Taylor is now a free agent. Because he was on IR he was not on the 90-man roster so this doesn't count as one of San Francisco's necessary cuts to get their roster down to 53. Taylor was on IR for the 49ers after suffering an injury leading up to San Francisco's second preseason game.
