(Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Congress will need to pass a bill to address crime and that the legislation should include an extension to the 30-day limit on federal police control of Washington, D.C. "We're going to be asking for extensions on that, long-term extensions, because you can't have 30 days," Trump said at the Kennedy Center after he announced the 2025 honorees.
