Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been one ofPresident Donald Trump's most loyal supporters, but she's not holding back in slamming hisdecision to bomb Iran. In a second lengthy social media post since the June 21 bombing, the Georgia GOP congresswoman accused Trumpof a "bait and switch" with his supporters. Greene wrote in the June 23 post that she campaigned with Trump on a "MAGA agenda" that included "NO MORE FOREIGN WARS. NO MORE REGIME CHANGE. WORLD PEACE." Now, six months into Trump's second administration, Greene wrote "we are back into foreign wars, regime change, and world war 3." More:Not what 'MAGA wanted to hear': Trump's Iran strike stoking GOP tensions "It feels like a complete bait and switch to please the neocons, warmongers, military industrial complex contracts, and neocon tv personalities that MAGA hates and who were NEVER TRUMPERS!" Greene added. A three-term U.S. lawmaker, Greene was amonga vocal MAGA contingentthat included former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and conservative media figure Tucker Carlsonwarning against attacking Iranbefore Trump decided to go forward with the strike. Some prominent MAGA figures said a strike would go against Trump's anti-interventionist approach, which has tapped into deep discontent with prolonged wars in the Middle East and reshaped the party's foreign policy. Greene has remained outspoken since the bombing, saying in an earlier social media post on June 22 that "I can also supportPresident Trump… while disagreeing on bombing Iran and getting involved in a hot war that Israel started." Bannon saidon his podcast June 21 that Trump's Iran strike had upset some of his base. "There are a lot of MAGA that are not happy about this. … We can tell this in the chats right now," Bannon said, while adding that he thinks Trump "will get MAGA on board."
